Rates for Moves Over 100 Miles
We do not bill on the weight of a load as many of the national moving companies do. Instead, we use a simpler formula that leaves no room for a moving company to take advantage of a customer on reported weight vs actual weight.
All loading, unloading, and packing are itemized separately from the transportation cost and billed hourly. See the above hourly rates under local. These hourly rates based on the number of movers and or trucks also apply to long distance moves over 100 miles. In addition, we now add a transportation cost based per mile and itemized on your final bill and charged as follows:
One Full Size Straight Truck (26′)

100 – 300 Miles: $20.50 per mile over 100 miles
$6,150 + 301 – 999 Miles: $5.50 per additional mile
One Way (INTERSTATE)–
100 – 300 Miles: $20.50 per mile over 100 miles
$6,150 + 301 – 999 Miles: $6.50 per additional mile over 301 miles
$10,687 + 1000 – 2199 Miles: $6.50 per additional mile over 1,000 miles

Snow Storm / Ice Storm Fee
If the route on a long distance move includes the need for our driver to purchase snow chains which are required by law for commercial trucks crossing through the mountains, the fee we pass on to the customer is $300. This covers the cost of the purchase and the driver taking the time to chain up to complete the move without affecting the final bill other than the $300 fee.

Jerome was very responsive, answered all my questions and didn’t charge me extra for “last minute” scheduling. We confirmed the next morning that we were still on for 10 am, his communication with me was great!
His rates are the most competitive in the area. The storage shed I was moving out of was very unprofessional and the owner of the facility was being excessively rude and non-compliant. Jerome and his employee did not allow that to affect them in any manner. They worked very quickly and efficiently. My son had already loaded the moving truck with items from his girlfriends house, and Jerome rearranged items to best fit everything so nothing would move around and break. The truck was twice as big as what I needed, so they tied everything in tightly, ensuring the safety of our belongings!

I was going to use cheaper moving helpers that had good reviews. When I mentioned the two companies to the manager of our storage units she said ‘oh no neither have a very good reputation for packing well or managing your time.’ Based on her recommendations we chose Old West and so glad we did. The storage units and Old West have no affiliation and when I told Jerome about the recommendation he was thankful but admitted he didn’t know the manager. I think she sees a lot of people coming and going running storage units and she has a lot of people complaining or recommending the best helpers. Ray and Michael showed up on time and were kind, helpful, efficient and hard workers. They were excellent at loading everything and never wasted a minute. I highly recommend this company!

Jerome was very thorough in assessing the work in advance over the phone that needed to be accomplished and made some recommendations that saved us a lot of time. When my wife indicated, she was concerned about the carpets getting dirty during the move, Jerome brought in an assortment of furniture blankets to protect the carpet and keep my wife happy. He has everything you can think of in his truck to make your move go smoothly. The team was fast and careful. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve never hired moving labor help before. But WOW I was blown away by them. First of all, the booking process was so simple and I got a call right away to confirm the details. At the site, Calvin and Jerome were professional, friendly, and so helpful. They even followed us to a storage unit to unload stuff there was well. And because they do this all day, they were stellar at fitting everything in our storage unit. Way better than I would’ve done! And when we were almost done, but I still had time left “on the clock,” rather than stand around, Calvin was sweeping out the UHAUL and folding moving blankets for us! I would most definitely recommend this service to anyone needing help. In fact, I’ll probably hire them again when we leave our apt to buy a home.
